My Promise …

I reflect upon these lonely days;
To you beyond the sky I gaze.
I am searching for ways to distract my mind,
A reason for which I can’t seem to find.
I watch the rain fall,
As I wait for your call…

As the raging sky is casting it’s gloom,
Darling, I’m feeling so blue.
For here I am sat – alone in my room,
Waiting and thinking of you.

Now lonely days are in the past,
I begin to wonder how long we’ll last.
You fill up my soul with a radiant glow,

Now lonely days are near again,
The tearful sky begins to rain.
